Yoga and Decorating Weekend!
This weekend was so pretty here in Houston! It definitely did not feel like winter with sunny skies and 80 degrees but I’m honestly not mad! I was able to do yoga outside and have some nice morning walks with the hubby.
There was a new Pokemon Go update and the park near our house is super popular for it so of course my husband wanted to go on a walk on Saturday, haha! I am still being cautions with my knee since the marathon but I was able to get some jogging segments here and there.
I was glad to support a great organization called Fitness In The Loop for a charity event. We did Yoga in the Park on Saturday and it was amazing!
It was a donation event with an amazing raffle! There were so many fitness studios that donated class packages. I figured that because it was for a good cause (Elijah Rising) it wouldn’t hurt to buy a couple of tickets and enter. I actually won an unlimited month at Citizen Pilates which is the Pilates studio my friend teaches at. I’ll definitely be hitting up the studio every change I get in March!
Of course because it was so nice and sunny outside and because I’m the worse when it comes to sunscreen my shoulders did get a bit burnt. It wasn’t too bad but I definitely noticed it in the shower that evening.
Sunday morning was another walk at the park. We decided to feed the ducks as well since we had some extra bread in our pantry. Some of the ducks even eat out of our hands! These ducks will start coming toward you if you slow down because they think of have food. They’re definitely spoiled!
Now you may not know but my husband and I moved into our first house about six months ago. Since then we’ve had a pile of pictures and frames that needed to be hung up. I’m proud to say they’re finally up! Isn’t it amazing how different a room feels with pictures hanging?
Our beautiful wedding pictures are now proudly displayed around our home and our scripture is hanging in our entryway. This also sparked my husband’s creativity and we started setting up his man cave. We have so many empty rooms that it was nice to see his come to life!
I guess we were also in the spirit of cleaning since we cleaned out our closet and dresser. It feels so awesome to throw stuff away! We will definitely be going to Ikea next weekend to buy a few more things. It’s about time we fill up our house! We’ve basically only been living in our bedroom and half of the living room.
What’s the thing you unpack whenever you move? Do you plan to do any spring cleaning?
