Weekly Workouts!
Raise your hand if you are struggling this Monday! Normally I’m all for Monday and getting my week started right but this past week was a doozy. My weekend was not long enough and I can totally admit to falling asleep on the couch on Saturday afternoon. This Saturday was my first “long” run this year so there was a lot of planning and nutrition to take care of. Of course that left me super hungry so I had to keep myself out of the kitchen! I hope you’re sipping your coffee as you’re reading this and getting geared up for a great week!
Weekly Workouts:
M- 30 Minute Low Impact Spin Class
T- Easy 3 Miles, 45 Minute Endurance Spin Class
W- 60 Minute Cross Training, Easy 3 Miles + 1 Stride
R- 45 Minute Power Zone Spin Class, Easy 2 Mile Run
F- Rest Day
Sa- Easy 8 + Moderate 2 Miles, 45 Minute Spin Class
Su- 45 Minute Spin Class
If you’re looking at that schedule, you’re probably wondering how in the world I’m still alive! Like I mentioned before, this last week was a bit of a struggle for me. With running more consistently AND becoming full time at my job, I did get pretty tired mid-week. Whenever this does happen, I prioritize my running. Usually I’ll do less weight at my cross training class or cut out spin classes altogether. However, I’m stubborn and I’m at the tail end of a cycling challenge so I really stuck to it. I’m running on naps and coffee y’all! I’m aware that I won’t be able to keep this up so I plan on making running a priority in April (I also go up in weekly mileage) and start dropping other activities.
The weather has been great lately and even though my allergies aren’t fun, I have them under control. I’m soaking up all the great running weather because I know that Texas heat and humidity is around the corner! You gotta love mornings where you go outside at 5:30AM and it’s 85 degrees and 100% humidity!
What were some of your workouts last week? Did you try anything new?
