Weekend Update!
As busy as it was, this weekend was also a very relaxing one. I had another three day weekend due to Jordan getting a root canal on Friday. I drove him around and made sure he was taken care of. He was such a trooper!
Work was weird this week since I technically only worked three days so I had to fit my workouts whenever I could. After all his procedures were done, I was able to catch a class at Soulcycle! A new studio opened in town and I was able to score a free class. It was so different from what I’m used to at Ride but I definitely appreciated the workout.
Woke up on Saturday with dead legs and arms. Soul definitely kicked my butt, haha. I think it was just because it was different than what I was used to but I was SORE. Saturday morning was a five mile run. I was mentally prepared for this run and I think it showed. I had my route planned and I shot out of bed as soon as my alarm went off. When I finally finished, I was so glad because I was covered in sweat.
After running, Saturday was spent relaxing and napping with the hubby. I tried out a recipe from the cookbook I checked out last weekend and it was amazing! I love being able to relax and try new recipes. It really makes me happy to feed others.
Also, we went and bought candles and wax for the wax heater. Since it’s fall we got all the pumpkin scents! Our home smells so delicious. I’m planning all kinds of pumpkins and inflatables for our yard decorations, haha!
Sunday came way too quickly! A quick two mile run was in the books. I definitely surprised myself because I follow so many amazing ladies on Instagram that run eight and seven miles and make it look so easy! My two miles felt hard and my legs were definitely tired but I ran a 9:10/8:10. Never in a million years did I think I would run that with TIRED legs after running five the day before. It just feels so good to see my training pay off. Some days are hard but they still show progress
What was your weekend like? Any big plans?
