The Weekend With All The Food!

Looking back at my camera roll, I must have an obsession with food! I swear, we did more than just eat this weekend, haha!

Saturday

We started our weekend off with an easy run! Jordan let me decide what we were going to do and I only had one request: a run followed by a big breakfast!

Jordan got his bike ready and we were off to the Eleanor Tinsley Park. I’ve never run around the park with the exception of running in the area during a few of my races. We were so used to running in our flat part of town that the slight hills were enough to get us sweating! Although, we really couldn’t complain. The weather was nice and there was a slight breeze.

Once we finished up at the park, we packed up and hit up Snooze Eatery! I’ve been craving this place and I really wanted Jordan to try it out. Luckily, it was still early that the wait wasn’t too bad. I picked the Chilaquiles Benedict and it was SOOOO GOOD. I’m glad I ran beforehand because I totally didn’t feel bad about eating it all. Jordan really enjoyed his breakfast burrito and is already looking forward to eating there again!

This weekend marks a year in our house! For the rest of the afternoon, we finished up some projects we had around the house. We’ve officially unpacked the last of our stuff (yep, one year later) and cleared out our wet room. Also, our backyard was completely gutted this week so after picking up some stray branches, it looks so nice! Snowflake has more room to play in.

We finished the evening with some pizza and we finally finished Dexter! It’s amazing how quickly we can go through shows!

Sunday

What’s the weekend without delicious food? Sunday started with our usual walk at the park. The sun was out and we definitely got cooked. However, we had some extra time before church so we opted to go to IHOP for breakfast! French toast is my weakness and topping it with fruit makes me feel a bit better, haha!

I forgot I have this dress sometimes so when I wear it, it’s worth a picture! Most of my dresses are some shade of blue. I try so hard when I go shopping to get a different color but I just love blue dresses! Is anyone the same way?

After church, we were off to lunch! I needed to hit my macros and I was lacking protein so this delicious Chicken Margarita Bowl hit the spot! I really love how restaurants are making an effort for healthier options. Although, this is still a bit of a larger portion it is delicious!

The rest of the day was so productive! Laundry happened as soon as we for home and meal prep followed soon after. I made breakfast burritos ahead of time to simply grab and heat throughout the week. I also whipped up another recipe from the Run Fast, Eat Slow cookbook for my lunches.

This week will be a short week for me! Jordan and I are heading to the Hill country this weekend to float the river for our wedding anniversary! It will be our first time and I’m hoping it’s going to be a blast. I’m definitely ready to enjoy some time in the sun!

Do you have any exciting plans this week?
