Sometimes coming up with ideas of what to eat can stump you. I love Platejoy because it’s a huge help with figuring out meals and even gives you the option to organize it on the weekly calendar. As someone who enjoys planners and schedules, this makes it so easy for me! With Platejoy you get recipes and a shopping list which cuts out half of the hassle. Check out this post I wrote with how it works!

If the concept of cooking is just not your jam, why not try a service with ready prepped meals? This is a wonderful way to simplify your meal prep! Half of the battle is cooking! There are quite a few local businesses that provide meals for all dietary needs. However, there are also a few big players in the game that deliver nationwide.

Depending on your dietary needs and lifestyle, you can get recurring deliveries that range from smoothies (Daily Harvest) to microwavable meals (Factor 75). What I love about these services is that you are still in control. These services give you the option to choose what recipes you want in your deliveries. These are great to supplement home cooked meals and can even save you money in the long run. Instead of spending money at a fast food joint, you are able to get nutritious meals delivered to you.

Let’s not forget the big names services which provide you with the ingredients and to make meals. However, I found that these require a bit of tweaking and a lot of time to make. Services like Blue Apron and Hello Fresh are geared more toward family dinners. If you are just trying to find new recipes and ways to spice up your dinner routine, I would give these a try!

Using either one or a combination of these services along with your planning would be a great way to simplify your meal prep. It does take some time and planning but you will find that you benefit in the long run!
