Peloton Tread Review!

Peloton Tread Review

Good morning! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! Our weather has decided to do a complete 180 so as the rest of the country is currently frozen solid, we are starting to warm up. However, the weather hasn’t been too much of a hindrance when it comes to my running. My husband got me a Peloton Tread which I’ve had for over two months now. This thing is a beauty and I wanted to share a little bit about it!

Ever since I got my Peloton Bike in the fall of 2017, I have been obsessed. It was great crosstraining and it helped me when I had a period of injury. I truly believe the bike helped my endurance and has made me a better runner. When Peloton announced that they would be releasing a treadmill at the beginning of 2018, I was instantly sold. I put in the down payment and waited (impatiently) until treadmills began shipping. I was lucky enough to visit the NYC studio before receiving my shipment and I instantly fell in love.

The base of the Peloton Tread was one of that major sells for me. As a runner, treadmills aren’t my favorite because of the belt. I don’t feel like they absorb impact as well and just tear my legs up. The Peloton Tread has a slatted belt and you guys, it is AMAZING. It absorbs the impact incredibly well and my legs don’t feel any different than if I ran outdoors.

One thing that sets apart the Peloton Tread from other treadmills in the market are the Speed and Incline knobs. Oh my word, these are INCREDIBLE. Not only is it incredibly easy to modify with a quick touch, but the treadmill adjusts almost instantly. I can go from a jog to a sprint in no time. I hated running on treadmills at the gym that take forever to pick up speed. There’s buttons in the middle of the knobs that round you up to the next percentage or full speed point. It’s absolutely my favorite part of the Peloton Tread and makes speed work so easy.

Another great thing is the content. Most people will assume that you will only have running classes on the Peloton Tread. That is not the case. Just like their cycling library, there are different type of classes with different ability levels. There are some power walking classes that had me SWEATING. Plus, their bootcamp selection is pretty vast. These classes will have a running portion and a strength portion which tend to be 50/50. The instructors have a wide variety of backgrounds from distance runners to overall athletes. I have taken some marathon prep classes that were TOUGH and some bodyweight bootcamp classes that had second guessing my fitness.

Regardless of where you are in your fitness journey, the Peloton Tread has something that will appeal to you. The Peloton platform has also released some yoga classes and continues to add more to their rotation. If you’re still not sold on the Peloton Tread, I would recommend the Peloton Digital App. By downloading the app, you are able to check out ALL the classes that Peloton offers on any piece of equipment you may already have access to. There is currently a trial offer so now is a good time to give it a shot! Click here for more info!

Overall, the Peloton Tread has been a great investment for me and I can already see improvement in my fitness. I simply can’t recommend it enough!

Have you had a chance to check out the Peloton Tread or the digital content?
