One In A MillionSo I have been doing my best to get back to reading. Now that I have a smart phone (long story, didn’t have one for forever) I swear I have stopped reading actual books. I usually get sucked into Buzzfeed and then it’s like midnight and time for bed, haha!

Now that I finally found some time, I have picked up an AMAZING book. It’s called One in a Million by Priscilla Shirer. She’s the daughter of Tony Evans and her writing is so anointed! The way this book reads is like she’s chatting with you over coffee. I absolutely love books that read that way. It just makes it such an easy read.

I definitely suggest her book to anyone who is going through a tough time. She really brings scripture alive with her story telling. In our walk of life, there’s going to be seasons that we just don’t understand. Sometimes it feels like we are numb and our prayers are bouncing off the ceiling. Priscilla reminds us to take a closer look at scripture and His promises for us. The wilderness in our life may not make sense but our focus must always stay on Him.

In our walk with Christ, we must always be reminded that He has reasons for it all. While we may not like what’s going on in our lives, He may have greater purpose for it. It can be tempting to look back at “the way it was before” but God has us just in the right place. By spending time in the wilderness or seasons that don’t make sense, He is able to show us His amazing love and we are able to learn more about our good, good Father.
