A Week’s Worth of Workouts!

Hey there friends! Today’s post was inspired by the beginning of a new month and a new training season. Now that the CrossFit Open is behind us, my focus will shift more towards running. I figured I’d share a week’s worth of workouts so you can get an idea as to how I structure my week and basically do all the things!

Week's Worth of Workouts

Week’s Worth of Workouts

  • Monday AM – CrossFit, Monday PM – Run
  • Tuesday – CrossFit
  • Wednesday – Yoga & Spin Class
  • Thursday – Run
  • Friday – CrossFit
  • Saturday – Spin Class
  • Sunday – Yoga/Walk/Rest Day

There’s no race in the horizon just yet but I have a feeling there’s a fall race or two that I’ll be doing. I want to build up my mileage again so I’m slowly incorporating it in to my week. The Peloton bike and Tread+ give me so many options that I sometimes feel there’s not enough time in the day to do all the fun classes! Monday evening runs tend to be with Andy Speer as he is goofy but provides a very methodical approach to training. Plus I love the community I’ve built on the leaderboard! Alex Toussaint currently has a fun challenge on the bike through the month of May so I’ll be focusing on that and giving it my all on those Saturday spin classes!

Rest and recovery is key to me. Now that I’ll be working on strength and running a bit more evenly, I’ll have to be wise on my exertion levels with each workout. This is where I have to remind myself to keep easy workouts easy and push at the right times. Most nights you’ll find my stretching and using my Roll Recovery R8 to help ease sore muscles so I’ll have to make sure I keep this up! Plus if there’s ever a day my body needs rest, I’ll opt in for the rest over the workout.

That’s my week’s worth of workouts! What does your weekly workout schedule look like?
